Lee gets tryout with Giants

Former James Madison star quarterback has gotten a tryout with the New York Giants, participating in this weekend's rookie minicamp in East Rutherford, N.J.

Lee, who is recovering from a broken left foot that forced him to miss the final four games last season, was not selected in last week's seven-round NFL Draft.

The Durham, N.C., native, led FCS in total offense (375.5 yards per game) and completion percentage (68.3 percent) and was fifth in rushing yards per carry (7.5). Lee also led the Colonial Athletic Association in passing touchdowns (21) and yards per play (8.6).

Lee joins ex-JMU center Dominick Richards as the only players from the 2015 team to receive NFL invitations. Richards will have a tryout with the Redskins, who will host their rookie minicamp next Friday through Sunday, May 13-15.
